Dr. Shane Kavanagh

Dr Shane Kavanagh graduated from RCSI in 1998. He has completed the RCSI vocational training scheme in General Practice.
His postgraduate studies include qualifications in Musculoskeletal medicine and Dermatology.
Together with Dr Anne Marie Kavanagh he set up Whiterock Family Practice in 2008 and has worked there since.
Dr. Anne Marie Kavanagh

Dr Anne Marie Kavanagh studied medicine in the University College Galway, qualifying in 1998. She worked in many hospitals both in Ireland and abroad, she worked in Obstetrics in Australia before completing vocational training in General Practice in U.C.D.
Dr Anne Marie has a specialist interest in Women’s Health, Menopause, Paediatrics and Chronic Disease Management. She has worked in Whiterock Family Practice since she set it up with Dr Shane Kavanagh in 2008.
Nurse Suzanne Dundon
Practice Nurse

Nurse Suzanne joined the practice in 2009. Suzanne trained as a nurse in Waterford Regional Hospital. She received her degree in nursing from Trinity College and her Diploma in Practice Nursing from the Royal College of Surgeons. She also holds an H Dip in
Orthopaedics from the Royal College of Surgeons. In the past she has worked in Cappagh, The Mater Private, University Hospital of London, University Hospital of Cork and the Mid Western Orthopaedic Hospital in Croom Co Limerick.
She has a keen interest in prevention, obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular medicine.
Nurse Shauna Carr
Practice Nurse

Nurse Shauna joined the practice in January 2022. Shauna graduated from Buckinghamshire New University in 2016. She began her nursing career in London, initially working in Coronary Care (CCU) before moving to Dermatology. She worked as a skin cancer specialist nurse, having completed diplomas in Cancer Care (Royal Marsden), Skin Surgery (BDNG), Lesion Recognition and Advanced Communication. In 2020 Shauna returned to her native Wexford and began her career in Practice Nursing. She has completed courses in cardiovascular disease (UCC), Cervical Screening (RCSI) and Contraception in Primary Care
(ICGP). She remains engaged with continued learning.
